Dr. Rachelle Chai

Dr Rachelle Chai is a dental surgeon with a Masters in Specialised Orthodontics and more than 15 years of experience in clinical dentistry. She received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Manchester, and her Masters in Specialised Orthodontics from Münster, Germany.

Prior to returning to Kuala Lumpur, she practised dentistry in multidisciplinary hospitals in Singapore and Johor - from the multidisciplinary practice at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Singapore, to the departments of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Paediatrics, Orthodontics and Oral Medicine under the Ministry of Health Malaysia. She was also involved in School Dental Services, visiting primary schools and special-needs centres.

She currently practises Orthodontics, Family Dentistry and Aesthetic Dentistry, and finds these aspects of dentistry thoroughly fulfilling as they allow a multidisciplinary approach to case problem-solving. She believes in instilling good oral hygiene and dietary habits from a young age - prevention is better than cure. Dr Rachelle also enjoys travelling to explore new cultures and perspectives, expanding her skillset and keeping up with the latest advancements in the field.
