Aligners are customised using a comprehensive computer-generated system in America. They can be removed during mealtimes so you can maintain good oral hygiene. Every two weeks, new aligners are placed until your teeth move to their final desired position. Aligners should be worn at least 20 hours a day to ensure effectiveness - though they can be removed while eating or for important events (although they are barely visible!).

Invisalign is the pioneer system and market leader in clear aligners, available since 1998 - and its technology and software have evolved rapidly, achieving results that were not possible before. Not all systems are equal: Invisalign’s computer-generated aligners work more efficiently, and Invisalign incorporates small tooth-coloured attachments placed on your teeth during treatment - technology not used in other systems - which allow more efficient, bodily tooth movement. This lets us treat much more severe conditions with clear aligners than before.

Our dentists take a very precise iTero intraoral scan of your teeth, from which a series of simulated movements are designed and used to make your digitally generated aligners. Once the scans have been analysed by Invisalign headquarters, your dentist presents the simulated result - and any alterations to teeth movement or alignment can be made at this stage until both sides are satisfied. Once the ClinCheck has been approved, we are ready to manufacture and deliver your aligners - clear, comfortable, with no rough edges.
